This is a short drive through the Heidelberg neighborhood in Detroit. The street has been turned into a community art project. Have a look at my Detroit photo albums here

  • People do live in some of the houses that the artist painted. And, the main street of the Heidelberg Project actually isn't that bad. Yeah, it's in the 'slums', if you wanna call it, but it's not like, horrible. The project itself is actually quite interesting. If you look closely, you see a lot of meaning behind each things. I had a chance to talk to the artist as well, and he's an amazing guy, I must say.

  • Do people live in these houses? I mean this somehow looks like the worst slum I've ever seen. I would feel depressed like hell if I had to live there.

  • that place scares the crap out of me. before anybody even knew that an artist did that i thought it was a voodoo street or something... lol
