mandy lane made Emmet believe that they would commit suicide after killing her "friends". he is desperately in love with mandy lane and he does everything for her. In my opinion he thinks that they can be together by committing suicide (just like romeo and juliet but in a crazy way). by whispering in his ear and probably telling him that she does not want to die he recognized what he has done and that she tricked him. so he got very angry and tried to kill her.

Personally ( not that it matters) dont think she killed them cuz they wanted her only for her looks,but simply cuz she cud. She cud have anyone and prob get anything she wanted and this is what she wanted. Dont believe she ever was gonna go trough with suicide,Emmet was just a pawn to her. Also think why she let Garth live was cuz it just pleased her and she needed him to maintain the image of innocence. Well...she did say she isent like everyone else...

@buymebitch I don't think she backed out of the suicide,when she realised Emmet also wanted her in that way. I think she planned to trick Emmet since the beginining, and she didn't plan to suicide since the very beginning. She is smart, cruel, cold-blood girl. The one thing I cannot understand why she didn't kill Garth at the end... Did she fall in love with him? Or isn't she really that cruel killer at all?
