@alanwilz - and the answer is - because the director and other members of the creative team thought that a multi-culti group would look like "Beach Dance Party USA" . Don't critisize Ivan because sleek beautiful black dancers look cool in a video. I'm pretty sure this is not the first video to rely on that notion.

I've been Sir Ivan's younger brother for the last 45 years and he's the LEAST racist person I think I've ever met.

You know how Steven Colbert likes to frequently joke that he "can't even physically SEE race" ? That's what Ivan is like in real life. It's because of this that he can MAKE a video like this - and not worry or think twice about whether the dancers were black or white or green. So one might ask - "well then why are they ALL black? Why aren't there white and green performers ? "
