@sabian1hhx1only HNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!

We don't call that sawmill gravy in Arkansas or Texas. We call it white gravy. There's white gravy, and then there's brown, and yellow. Also the white gravy should be whiter than that, and much much much more ground black pepper.
-
@RealityIsTheNow You grew up on it, so what? So did people in the South, and probably a lot more of them than your friends and neighbors. that's what makes it southern.
-
This gravy is NOT southern. I've from the Pacific Northwest, just about as far as you can get from the south, and I grew up on this stuff. Biscuits and gravy is my favorite breakfast.
-
Mmmm...sawmill gravy....
Any southerner worth their salt just thought of grandma.

The way the camera keeps moving around when Mr. Brown is working is making me dizzy and nauseated. It's my only real complaint, though, since he really seems to know his cooking.

1) Brown ground breakfast sausage 2) Coat in flour 3) Add milk. Perfect white roux sausage gravy every time, with minimal effort. Getting your quantities and technique will all be down to practice.
-
roux is already plural. There are no rouxs.
-
@pjerd14022 you have to whisk continually until it's smooth. Either that or you had too much fat in the pan. Keep trying my friend!! When prepared correctly, Sawmill Gravy will be the best thing you have ever tasted in your life!!!! :D
