This 1972 Gran Tornio built by Pure Vison has a 514 Super Cobra Jet big block Ford engine breathing through a custom 3" exhaust and SpinTech mufflers. This is close to the final pull after a few hours of tuning the dual Edelbrocks. I don't recall for sure but I the final power figures were in the low 500s at the wheel. I do know torque was flat across the board and more than enough to turn those 20 inch 335 Pirelli's into massive billows of smoke! For the observant folks out there, this is the actual car that was the inspiration for Fenix's car in the new Fast and Furious movie. It was at two of the "cast calls" before it was even a running car!

  • You should at least get the aspect ratio of your video correct so the car doesn't look all out of proportion with oval wheels

  • @markit8dude1 It was a problem with the camara that wasn't realized until after the video had been uploaded and deleted from the camara. The problem has since been fixed with the camara, but I do not have any editing programs that will allow me to fix the file. The point of the video is mainly the sound anyway as its not all that exciting to see the car sit there spinning the rear wheels......

  • Awesome looking/sounding torino! How did you fit 20" with 335 tires? I have 295 tires on a 9" rear and that just barely works. Is it a narrowed rearaxle or is it just the rims?

  • @kaykarlsen The frame was "back-halfed" with narrowed frame rails, a four link suspension, and hand made tubs. To top that off, the whole body was channelled down over the frame with a custom made floor pan. There are a few shots of the chassis without the body on the purevisiondesign web page. If you check it out you may be able to spot the changes we made.

  • more videos ! more videos !

  • @Norco5327 I'd love to post more vids of the car but alas I am just one of the builders and the car currently lives 7 hours away with its owner in San Fransisco!
