Brief
IKEA faced a challenge in changing consumers' perception with regards to what Even Lower Price (ELP) truly stands for. The main aim was to properly educate them on the message of ELP, why IKEA has ELP items and the continuous efforts done every year by IKEA to lower prices of items.
Solution
To impart IKEA's Even Lower Price (ELP) message across to the consumers via a fun way that's also easy to understand.
The idea was to alter last year's concept of displaying the whole ELP story in a microsite. Instead, the ELP landing site will display ELP products as per the normal IKEA page but the home banner is animated to tell the story of ELP. Doing this will also directly promote the ELP products on the landing page itself without losing the main point of the revamp which is to educate consumers on the ELP story.
A variety of animation was conceived to convey the ELP message with witty copies that plays on the actions of the cartoon character, thus allowing consumers to pick up ELP messages in a fun manner.
