Another treasure of russian orthodox musical literature, Halleluja sung by Don Cossacks choir under
direction of Serge Jaroff. Diaporama of sunset pictures round the world from sea level through forests
and up to Himalaya.
Cyrillic russian title of song is below (should anyone be able to translate for us):
«Аллилуйя»; «Упокой, Господи, душу усопшаго раба Твоего»; «Вечная память»

  • Cyrillic russian title of song is below (should anyone be able to translate for us):

    «Аллилуйя»; «Упокой, Господи, душу усопшаго раба Твоего»; «Вечная память»

    translation:

"Hallelujah," "Give rest, O Lord, to the soul of thy servant (slave) Usopshago," "Eternal Memory"

  • @jwsyt2 Thanks for translation

  • geraldrim...your next investment has to be a translator thing-a-ma-jig to put into English all these beautiful hymns for us non-Russian speaking people.

  • @davidperi Maybe You and I believe in miracles, but this one is really not possible. On top, many of these orthodox songs are in old slavonic, is there any computerised translator for it ? Human words are of lesser importance, what counts is the music and the choir's voices...

  • This is so nice, one of the best song I never heard

  • Wunderschön diese Stimmen , dieser Chor, unerreicht.

  • What a fantastic musical experience. Thank you!!

  • I believe the composer was Pavel Chesnokov. The memory eternal at the end is haunting.

  • geraldrim..I think you are right. The one, Blessed is the man...I was really caught up in the spirit of the singing; even though I did not understand a word the melodies and voices were terrific.
