TimeCapsule Review -Hardware and Software

I've been using this time capsule for the last month and I have to say that I am really impressed. Once again Apple have created a brilliant product.

It's very easy to setup and to configure. The software is compatible with both PC and MAC and this is an excellent way to backup all your important info.

This is a 802.11n base station router as well as a 500GB LAN hard disk. I have not had any problems with this device and I notice my internet is running extremely fast.

This is the new video with my JVC camcorder so apologies if it doesn't seem as good as previous videos.

Question!: I have a mac mini with 120gb and i want to use the TIme capsule for installing apps, can i do this? and will it run well?

i got everyhting the time capsule plug in and when i open airport utility it cant find anything , i used to but not now u know anything about this?

Yes. In addition to working with the Time Machine application, you can access it via your network and it will mount on your desktop as would any other volume. You can connect directly via ethernet for your first full backup or when copying large files, as that is much faster than even spec-N wireless.

I've been considering getting this and wondering if I can use it as a regular external hard drive?

Just drag and drop specific things that I wanna backup basically, and also use it for a wireless router.

Great review. I was thinking of getting one when they released the new version but held off per the price was a little high compared to buying a new router and seperate hard drive but still have not made up my mind.
