Open University lecturers Ronald Mackintyre and Bruce Heil visited the 'Green' islanders of Eigg, Scotland in summer 2010 to see for themselves how these proactive residents get most of their electricity from hydro, solar and wind schemes. Renewable energy normally provides the isle with 92% of its electricity and the community has reduced household carbon emissions by 47%. Ronald and Bruce look into the technological, social and economic green journey the islanders are on.

ultimately the goal is to inundate the landscaped with ugly wind turbines which are cheap to install and maintain but the cost to the consumer will still be high
why dont people just leave the countryside alone
