Halloween Horror Nights 2009 Short Film Competition Winner

It started with well over 100 hopeful filmmakers, but now it's down to only one.

Drew Daywalt's "Bedfellows" is the winner of the 2009 Halloween Horror Nights-Chiller Scary Good Film Competition. Daywalt, who spent the last year writing and directing 30 terror-filled short films for the critically acclaimed Horror Troupe FEWDIO, will be recognized at this year's Chiller-Eyegore Awards, which kicks off opening night of Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights.
"Bedfellows" will be viewed by celebrities and industry insiders at the event. In addition, his film will be aired by Chiller and Daywalt will receive a $1,000 cash prize.

Finalists for the Halloween Horror Nights-Chiller Scary Good Film Competition were selected by a panel of industry judges that included Kevin Greutert (Director, Saw VI), Thomas Vital (Executive Vice President of Programming and Original Movies, SyFy Channel) and John Murdy (Creative Director, Universal Studios Hollywood).

"Halloween Horror Nights," Southern California's most terrifying Halloween event, begins a 16-night run on Friday, October 2nd at Universal Studios Hollywood. Tickets are on sale at http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/hollywood/2009/tickets/
