this video helped me understand the movie. BIG TIME. i didn't like it before and didn't see much connection to the book, but somehow seeing these important bits and peices of it made me understand it. i used to think it was a hate story, but i realised that it was just a really scewed up love story in disguise. Thanks!

@ThreeOfHearts1 I'm glad my video helped you appreciate the movie more. It isn't your typical love story, which is why I love it so much. Margaret Mitchell did an amazing job creating characters who aren't perfect, but really flawed in a lot of ways, but the reader can still love and care about them. I think it's a better story simply because none of the characters get a happy ending.

@sugarcane32 There is a sequel to GWTW book and movie called "Scarlett" by Alexandria Ripley. It was later made into a tv series. In the sequel, I believe Rhett comes back to Scarlett. But in my opinion, after reading the book, I think Rhett was really done with the heartbreak Scarlett had given him. I think he had endured so much heartbreak from Scarlett and then the death of their daughter Bonnie officially hardened his heart to the point that he no longer wanted to love another person.

i saw the tv series it was a disgrace. terrible portate of scarlett , the plot the characters the director the editing just horrible. i wish they didn't do it.
