Gregorian "FLAT440" Dish c/w LNB returned by an ebay client - he claimed it was faulty .... before I start the video I prepare, I have a receiver switched on and checked on BBC NEWS I remove the live cable and attach another cable which I trail out of my office to a satbeeper (satellite finding meter) I have a short patch cable - ready to connect to the LNB - the Antenna was returned by a client in Scotland who had first said it had not been received then claimed it was received damaged and finally stated it was faulty (he claimed in email he'd had a professional person install it) - I have had a number of these dishes returned and decided to film myself opening and testing the antenna I mount the antenna so I can attach the LNB at the top (normally you'd attach it from beneath but I didn't want it to fall off) an LNB works just as well upside down because it only has to receive signals which are either vertical or horizontal - you may ask why I thought the client wasn't correct in his assertion that the dish was faulty - but every LNB is tested before it is sent the LNB is made by MTI and this is a routine part of the manufacturing process to test what they have made before shipping - as the video shows - I simply unpacked the returned antenna mount it on the stand adjust it whilst listening to the satbeeper and then once I have a satellite I check that the picture has come on - then I take the video camera and show the connected cable - I did this for the benefit of the client - while I was filming this he was giving me bad feedback - saying on ebay that he'd been waiting for his money back for a month - well I received this dish on Wednesday PM 11-Jan-2012 the same day that he claimed to have been waiting for a refund for "a months" and I tested it the next morning 12-Jan-2012 - I attempted to upload it to youtube the same day but the upload failed - this is second attempt 13-Jan-2012 before this client I had 100% feedback on Ebay - Paypal are still holding my money and client won't accept that he is at fault - but hopefully ebay will resolve this soon
