My girlfriend and friends are interested in starting to play D&D but none of us have ever played before nor own any of the equipment. What advice or getting started 101 would you give to a never-played-before group?
Tets is the RPG man now a days. My group games Saturdays, but we're mostly grey beards! Gaming Sundays is seasonal in America as most groups have an avid American football fan in them. Good point about the logo on the flyer! BTW is that a Dali poster?
Tetz actually has the most subs, followed by gent. Sat is a hard day to game, I agree, do to all the family stuff. I like Friday best my self. Starting with a popular game is a good tip. Actually a lot of good tips there.
Great vid my man, cool of you to take the time. Herkles1 is a good guy.
I think Saturday and Sunday during the day are probably the best for college kids, so they can party afterwards (or study, yeah right, hehe). After I got out of college I found that weekday nights are a better night so people can get out of work and then come game. Good thorough video.
This is a good solid old RPG Brigaide advice vid. These were the type of videos I was looking for when I first tuned in a few years back. I remember the days when you and Chromemagnus where the only RPG youtubers :D
Great advice. Nice one. I had just commented on Herkles1's post before seeing this. I'm actually giving this advice to my daughter now who has moved. I said pay attention to what people are reading, what films they like, if anyone's talking about a game. Logos on tee shirts are another possible clue. A 'Legolas is Hot' tee (yes, I've seen) is a big tipoff. Vampire is a game becoming more pop with women. In your room have a gaming book for people to see. Let them have a look. Keep listening :)
thanks for the advice, almost all of that can work with some twinking for my campus. It is unfortunate though that I lack an rpg store near by, which is a shame. but we do what we can do.
hopefully this works out. And yea, starting out with world of darkness or pathfinder is probably the best option.
Good video Cpt, but I have a question:
