Vancouver Paralympics 2010 Opening Ceremony Part 1

Some short videos from the Vancouver 2010 Paralympics Opening Ceremony. There was over 5,000 performers on the field at BC Place. The Paralympic opening wasn't about mega-stars or huge special effects, but about people interacting and celebrating human achievement against the odds. Each country was led in by B.C. athlete ambassadors carrying placards made from ocean driftwood or beetle-kill pine.

Good video shot, especially coming from faraway in the C or D category seats (was it?). All I had was just a digital camera to shoot some small video footages of the ceremony.

it warms my heart to see a full house for the paralympions. They should broadcast the paralympics! It's not fair to them, especially when some get medals and they realize that probably no one outside of Vancouver or their friends/family knows.
