MILITARY MEN AND WOMEN GET RIPPED OFF BY AAFES AND D.O.E.

Here is a real live conspiracy for all of you guys. AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service) is charging $4.067 per gallon of gasoline while the national average for this week from the DOE is $2.072. According to AAFES policy the price for overseas gas sales is based on the weekly average set by the DOE but AAFES has not dropped the price of gasoline since July even though the national average has dropped by $2.00. AAFES locations in Japan and Okinawa are the ONLY AAFES locations to buy gasoline directly from the Department of Energy, the DOE also sells gasoline to the Marines, Navy, Air Force, Army, National Guard, and Coast Guard. The DOE is selling gasoline for $4.19 per gallon TODAY. AAFES locations in Germany and South Korea have dropped their prices to reflect the national average as is their policy but AAFES Japan will not follow their own policy.

I'm afraid that you aren't educated on how petrol is priced. The US and UK and the rest of the world pay the same amount = price per barrel. The price difference comes from taxes from your government, and refinement costs. The UK isn't paying for cheap gas in the States.
