...and to think...College is so expensive because universities HAVE to pay these officers to keep students from burning the place down. How much do the professors at Berkeley make? How about their pensions? Why is it that everytime a Republican brings up public compensation and pension reform in California, they're suddenly "opposed to the middle-class"? These police officers constantly risk their lives at work. I don't think a better salary/benefits than a professor is out of the question.

Cost of living is high on the west coast and they made a career out of it and they are making bank on overtime during these protests. So of course they make more. But I'm fine with paying cops, when people aren't upset with them they are stopping people from hurting other, often putting their lives on the line. So what is there life worth, maybe you should look at what your college admin is making or those in government that have allowed this to get so out of control.

alright so they WENT TO COLLEGE like you're all supposed to be doing and then went out and started a CAREER. see that, CAREER, not job. they're just thanking you for all that extra over time they're receiving right now. Right now is probably the best time to be a cop. You want to make the $100k a year to pay your loans choose a real CAREER and stop complaining that you're paying 20k a year to study film, art and music at prestigious universities... those majors are what community college is for

Damn, Officer Dillon is getting shorted hard compared to the other officers. I'm sure if he watches this vid he'd be like "what the hell?". But back to the point of this video, police on the left coast make an extremely high salary.
