  • Nice! How does the height adjust on it?

Ever notice how the old vacuum cleaners like your Hoover and Kirbys had REAL headlights? Nowadays you can't see much of anything with the headlights they put on the store-bought vacuums. I've actually vacuumed with the lights out with my Kirby Tradition before, and it lit up a good bit of the room!

  • There's a rotary knob on the back wheels labeled "THIN" "MEDIUM" "THICK", which is interesting to me, as I've always either seen them numbered, or screw type with arrows pointing one way to raise and the other way to lower, or "HIGH" "MEDIUM" "LOW", etc. I agree about the REAL headlights and as far as I know, there's only one vacuum in this house newer than a Kirby Classic, and that's the triple crown Filter Queen(only used on the bare floors by the housekeeper)

  • the housekeeper loves the old Hoover- she used to use the Kirby Classic all the time(as seen in the "Housekeeper Lady" video). I usually have it sitting side by side with the Kirby Classic and the Filter Queen. She always grabs the Hoover, and if I'm guessing right, unlike the Kirby, it's quiet enough to talk over!

  • oh, and speaking of Kirbys, I learned found out brake light light bulbs with fit Kirbys from the Omega to the Legend 2(not real sure about Legend 2)

  • what model? 800?

  • yep. that be the 800

  • Yep, standard brake light bulbs work in the Omega to LegendII, very handy... :D

But the brake lights are a bit of a tight fit as the Kirby branded ones have a slightly different shapebd bulb, but they are very secure with the tight fit... :D
