What is absurd about asking whether it was just an odd coincidence that on the day that the "unimaginable" occurred, there were several mimetic-type wargames and civilian drills, such as vigilant guardian/vigilant warrior (hijack drills with blips on radars-"is this real world or exercise?") or the National Reconnaisance Office's plane into it's bulding drill (they run all the spy satellites with a budget bigger than the CIA's) or Tripod II in Lower manhattan planned to start the day after?
