Footage of the A, B and C races at the Hell of the South in Berlin, TN. The race took place on rougher roads in southern middle Tennesse. The course included one dirt road segment of about a half mile long.
Each of the classes start their race from the Berlin Fire Department. The A Race had an exceptionally fast start, whittling the field down by the end of lap 1 of 3. At this point, a breakaway of three riders (Dave Worth, Mike Olheiser, and Sebastian Flaskamp) have a gap of nearly 2 minutes on the main group. A seat comes flying off a bike as the main group comes through to begin lap 2.
Next through is the B Race, beginning lap 2 of 2, and then the C Race as they near the finish of their 1 lap event.
After 2 laps, the break of 3 has extended their lead in the A Race to 2:45 over a lone chaser, and 3:30 to the main chase group.
The B Race sprint is taken by Dale Sanford over Mark Horne and Tony Adair.
The break stayed away and Sebastian Flaskamp took the sprint win over Olheiser and Worth. Joe Ruf and Travis Werts led in the group sprint for fourth.
