Shattered Lives- Oak Ridge 2006

Shattered Lives- Montgomery County was established to give teenagers a glimpse into the effects of drunk driving. Each year, schools that participate in this program set up staged 'wrecks', then allow the students to watch as the kids in the wreck get treated. Some are flown off in a LifeFlight helicpoter, some are rushed off in an ambulance, and some 'die' on the scene. Its quite unfortunate that things like this still do happen even after programs like this. Still even if this program saves one life it has accomplished its mission.

u just had a couple...drinks...now ur twisted on the side of the car. u got a crown of mutha fuckas in aw...bitches got their lips in their palms....starring soo hard that u can not stay calm....like "dont touch him!"..he might stop breathing... ur firends taking 5 min intervals inbetween crying and sobbing to see you laying down....ur ripped up from chest to navel...moving ur limbs....ur just not capable...the way its looking theres no saving you......u want to talk scream out help though...

i would like to thank sharted lives.becuse it has shown me how i can be a better person.. becuse i had 1 of my closet friends killed 1-3 years ago. he was only 18.he was about to grad from high school.

That's one of the most touching things I've ever heard. I'm so glad that this is having an effect like that, even if it's only on one person. That means that all the students' and teachers' time wasn't for nothing. One life is immense.
