I agree that this is a dark song. In fact, I often couldn't listen to it because of the bittersweet effect it had on me. On one hand, I love this song, on the other hand it would get me pissed off about my ex. That was a long time ago and now I can enjoy this tune every time I hear it. I really like your version, it's haunting, scary, emotional and sounds great. You've captured the essence of the lyrics!
