  • Was anything salvagable?

  • @crushingvanessa We shall see.

  • Tragic loss of this WW2 aircraft. I was fortunate to have had a flight in the Liberty Belle in 2006 out of Harmond Field in Stephenville, Newfoundland.

  • @KibbleDog007 That airplane really got around.

  • not as good as lancasters, halifaxes and sterling bombers

  • @cship71 Open a history book. That plane allowed you the freedom to sit in your house and type your bullshit.

  • @TheBatman996 You're a asshole. If planes like this didn't exist, you would be typing German right now you stupid neo-hippie pussy.

  • All you morons sound as if somebodys great grand mother died ! It was an airplane built by the goverment, flown by the military to drop bombs,KILL people, husbands, and fathers of familys !!! Wake-up and stop WORSHIPING this killing machine !!

  • Liberty Belle, I toured that plane years ago at Flying Cloud Airport. Never flown in it though. She went out with all souls safe, good old gal. RIP

  • @Apollo11222

    YOU, are an idiot kid.

  • Ah melt the rest of her down, make lawn furniture out of her, and set and fart in it...LOL !!

  • So sad. I saw this plane at Little Rock in 2010.

  • wow what a terrible loss :(

  • what a great aircraft, i flew in it once. i wish more effort would have been spent to save her she was priceless. to all of the detractors saying that we shouldnt fly them, they are wrong. the best way to teach the appreciation for the history of what these aircraft and the young men that flew them did, is to fly them. i just hope we can avoid anymore lost aircraft. we need to make sure we fly them but safely for both the people and the priceless aircraft
