  • meh all Canadian stadiums are loud other then Toronto. too many ppl in the audience that are on a business trip.

on a side note Fleury Rules!!!!!

  • but Toronto fans continue to sell out leaf games. why would management make changes to make the leafs a better team it the fans keep coming? when the flames were terrible, there were 12,000 people coming, and in 2003 they made the commitment to make changes.

  • I find it hard to believe that Fleury won't try signing with the AHL team and bring a call up later in the year. He's got the skills to return as a filler player. If he can catch up with some skating and hockey sense from some extra games, he could easily have made strides in the NHL once more.

All the best though Theo. It was great to see you back in the Flaming C, and it's great seeing my childhood hero all cleaned up. Just don't fall back into that mess again, okay?

  • He's no brett favre

  • I like Theo... & I smell a Stanley Cup cookin' for the Flames! :-D

  • oh I see, it has to do with ticket pricing.

  • no team in the league could sell tickets even remotely close to what the leafs could for the playoffs and sell out.

if i remember correctly glass seats at a leafs playoff game in the semis back when they faced carolina went for 700+. and the furthest ones went for over 200. no other team could come close to that.

  • wouldn't it be the same for any team?

  • sadly that is true, although last season they didnt sell out nearly as much. but anyone with a brain would realize if you win a cup ull generate a hell of alot of money. just last weekend i herd over the radio that if the leafs make the playoffs there guaranteed 2 home games. and in only 2 home games they would make close to 15 million just on tickets.

  • Oh, I wasn't sure why it was designed that way. I thought it was for sound quality, but I've seen concerts there, and the acoustics are not that good. but what you said makes sense. how it has to do with structure.

  • Completely agreed. The Saddledome was designed to prevent structural failure, so thousands of sound-absorbing tiles were installed to prevent loud sounds and shaking to prevent any failures because of its unique design.
