I've just been inspired to live in Paris :)

I plan to have a grand book collection when I'm older. I'll build my own bookshelf so its wide enough to hold books of all sizes and then proceed to fill each one up, one at a time.

I've always been slightly bibliomaniac, as I grew up in a book loving house. Recently it has become a bit of a problem because I don't feel content until I have added to my collection. I feel distressed if I can't get the books I want, even if I have no plans of reading them any time soon. I hate to think how much I've spent on books! There is no room on my bookshelf so piles are growing on the floor...

as a creative reader you can find a scientific answer about Bibliomania in this book : Stop Me Because I Can't Stop Myself : Taking Control of Impulsive Behavior - by Jon E. Grant, SW Kim .

You know as well as I do that this type of hoarding behavior is a mental illness - not unlike storing your urine in jars or wearing Kleenex boxes on your feet.

thanx v much enjoyed this. if you're interested Martin Stone (and another louche figure in bookland 'drif') are featured heavly in Iain Sinclair's novel White Chappell Scarlett Tracings...

I am the same way for vintage clothing, even though I am a librarian!

I knew Paris would be a pretty awesome place to visit, but I never knew that Paris had a love for books. Now I DEFINITELY want to travel there!!
Thanks for the upload!
I've read some history on the greatest of book collectors. There was this one gentleman whom lived in the seventeen hundreds, he was wealthy enough to fill seven houses of books, fourteen shelves in each home! He is my inspiration.

You are not a real bibliomaniac until your floor collapses from the weight of your books.
