Ontario Northland 1802 southbound at mile 72 of the CN Bala subdivision in Brechin.

At this point I am wondering what the Northlander did with its passengers? LOL

  • Great Video Jason. The Northlander Broke down in Toronto yesterday (sunday) so 1802 was sent down to Toronto to pick up the broken down trainset and bring it back home to North Bay or Cochrane. The passengers had to be bussed from Toronto to North Bay and Vise Versa.

  • @ONRrailfan I thought they were running two locomotives on every trip to avoid that happening? Thanks for the info.

  • Great doppler effect!

  • @ONRrailfan it made no sense to send another unit down, VIA should have just loaned them one of their units.

VIA loans baggage cars to the ONR in the summer or at least they did !

  • 1802 to the rescue. they can't afford to run 2 engines on each train because of the lack of power up here. if 4 of them are on northlander duty, then theres a shortage on the kap or island falls sub. great catch, and that looks like a rough switch
