the cobra is pretty quick but my vette can hit 82 mph in 2nd gear so 3rd i just pulled away hard

i'm pretty sure the 93 cobra has 245hp and the GT was 225hp?? I'll have to look that up. I'm going off of a memory from the 90

Eh, mustang 33k new (zero add ons/equipment-cloth seats), vette 52k (w/leather - standard). Maybe 10k to supercharge w/install. Don't know about engine internal upgrade cost, forged parts etc. (not required but for high psi apps would be recommended) LT headers + exhaust $1500 ish, +chip and tune? Might end up breaking even. End of the game you have a freaking loud car lol. It could be done, maybe, but comfort/ride has it's place. I have an 07 GT :) C6 soon to come!

I love both cars, mustang and the vette. I had rather own anything with american muscle v8 power than a noisy fart can. Thumbs up to both.

I'm a Vette fanatic. I really like the 93 Cobras, to bad Ford didn't stick with the small block 302. They could have got a lot more out of it especially if they bore and stroke it to 347 with a light weight aluminum block similar to the LS engines.

Yes you are correct about the 235 HP, due to mylimited typing skills. However you are very incorrect about the motor. There were completely different heads, intake,roller rockers, camshaft grind, Larger injectors, larger mass air sensor, and pulleys to name a few. They were indeed underatted, some believe it to be for insurance reasons?, but who cares they are awesome cars that were great for the price and still fun to drive today!

wrong the 93 cobra was rated at 235 and the GT for 93 only was rated 205. 5.0s 87-92 were rated 225 altho nothing was changed cept pistons from forged to hyper..

93 cobras are rumored to actually be more in the 275 range but fords rating was indeed 235

Correct ninja, the Cobra was rated at 245. Yes the Corvette should beat it, no suprise there, but that Stang cos less than half, I bought my 93 Cobra new for 19,250.00 outh the door. I could buy enogh mods to blow the doors off the Vette with the savings!
