"International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM) officials announced Friday that the company will purchase Unica Corp. (NASDAQ:UNCA) for $480 million in cash, or $21 per share.
""Unica will expand IBM's ability to help organizations analyze and predict customer preferences and develop more targeted marketing campaigns,"" commented an IBM official.
Unica's 500 employees will reportedly work in IBM's Software Solutions Group, reports MarketWatch.
