Great Planes Electric Cub J3

GP Electric Cub. The plane is about 10 years old and has had life as a J3 covered in yellow oracover and most recently converted to a Military Grasshopper with invasion stripes. It's been powered with an Astro 05 on 7 sub C cells, an Astro 15 on 12 900 SCRs and finally an AXI 2830/12 on 3s TP 4200 and an 11x8 APC prop with a Spektrum 2.4 receiver. Like some planes it ended it's life on a cross wind day - damaged beyond repair.

Is this, or was it, the 58" version? Did it have ailerons? I'm building one of the older versions w/o ailerons and just wondering how it will fly. Powering mine similarly. Nice plane, like the Mil scheme!

yes with ailerons. Flys great on the pwr system. You'll like it.

Hey I just ordered a plane just as this one, and just want to say that it's good to see someone who dares to skip the yellow covering =)

I bought a protech tojeiro some days ago, but thought it would be too much to handle as a first plane, hope I dare to fly this one when it arrives. You have some great flight videos, keep having fun.
