I spent nearly 20 years of my life as a perfectionist. It was a curse I learned early in life. Even as a Christian, I still felt condemnation for every minor sin. It wasn't until recently that God revealed to me that Satan was telling me lies. Christ wants my best. But He knows I'm going to sin. But there is no condemnation for those in Christ. This song reminds me of those 20 lost years. I still struggle with perfectionism. But by God's grace, I can be free of it. My God's at work in me.

@unifield16 Remorse is not the same as condemnation. i do feel remorse. But I also don't try to kill myself over it anymore, either. I know I am forgiven.

@broadwayprincess We should feel remorse for every sin, because no sin is bigger than the next, sin no matter how minor is sin. But the Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". Christ doesn't want you to sin, He wants us to live a life just like His.
