My son Mike & I were very lucky for many years to be able to pal around with Lou, Pearl & my best buddy his brother Frank. They are all gone now Pearl Died first,Frank was the second, & Lou passed this year. I know Im no Louie Bellson but I sure try to play his style I hope you enjoy it. He really inspired my son & I and I'm so proud we own one of his drum sets. Nobody could talk him out of his cymbals though.

  • Good chops buddy... Nice work. You recorded this on an electronic set didn't you?

  • BINGO, THIER GRAT FOR PRACTICE & RECORDING

  • Nice work there! I was hoping to see the playing too but the audio is fine. You might get a kick out of my tribute clips on here to Buddy Rich as well. Louie Bellson was a major influence on my playing (though I do not play professionally). The first extended drum solo I ever heard was "Skin Deep" on an old Duke Ellington album. Great drumming! Again, good job fellow drummer!

  • I watched your video too.Good things going on there.Check out my #1 track Nuclear Funk on the Shark album on cd baby. I dont know where you are from but maybe you might suggest to your local station to play it if its not too much. It will be on Itunes too soon.

  • Also Louie was a real good friend of mine. So was his brother Frank & Tony. I used to hang with him a lot and drive him to chicago & stuff when he was in town. You can watch my video Drummers Only if you want to see me actually play a solo. It's not musical though Just ment to be flashy. Tell me what you think.

  • He really was. You may know that he had a viewing & funeral here in Moline & was buried here.

  • Nice job. Louie was the best person I've ever known.
