if the tuning is all digital, does that mean it doesnt matter if strings are actually out of tune? aside from the string tension, would this make any difference?

Maybe the camera mic, but also, none of us are there, hearing what he is hearing - we are most probably listening to this through a tinny set of computer speakers. Always best to try one out for yourself.

Don't know if its the audio of the camera but the 12 string sounds like warble.

Ha, Wanted Dead Or Alive is one of the reasons I started looking at this guitar. Can't justify buying a 12-string or double neck, but playign Wanted with just a 6-string always feels so wrong...

The acoustic sounds like it is running through an electric guitar amp. This might give people a negative impression of the Variax's acoustic simulator; if you run it properly clean to a PA (not through an electric amp or model of one) then it sounds much more convincing.

rob, of the 3 variaxes, which did you think felt best to play? you obviously loved the 59s, but did the 69's feel as good to you?

I love these reviews! Glad to learn more about this guitar. But, i wish you hadn't went into the blackstar amp for these models. They felt a little more "robbed" than other demos i've heard with these models
