@Mr5stringBob People will say lined fretless is for pussies but i honestly dont think Marcus Miller, Sean Malone, Michael Manring, Victor Wooten or Jaco Pastorius are pussies.
I love this bass. Beautiful sound

Do you have the bass tabs for the solo?

@Demonaz420 A) Start playing Bass! & B) Cynic's "Focus" is a fantastic album to be inspired by: Sean Malone (get his "Gordian Knot" CDs if you haven't already! - his 3K Custom Ibanez GWB Fretless actually trumps the Kubicki in their mixes) is one of the 3 Bassists that truly inspired me to get serious in my fretless playing (the legend Tony Levin & Tony Franklin are the others) and since then as a semi-professional it's certainly helped me get gigs by saying "Yes, I DO play fretless!" ;-)

How do you get that sound a chourous pedal
-
Fretless basses look better without the frets painted on, it's still fretless, though. Still, great playing and it's interesting to see a left-handed instrument.

Have you ever looked at traben bass guitars? they seem like they would fit your style

Man.

How did you get that particular sound Phaser?

@dlechler1 Yes, and some slow chorus.

So for a fret less bass do you have to depress the string exceptionally hard? I mean, when I try to play beyond the 22nd fret on my guitar and press that extra region in the neck it kind of sounds flat and damped by my fingers...I imagine one's fingers just damp out any resonance the bass has.

@NOMOMOMOMOMOM No, you don't have to press the strings harder. You have to depress them at the top of the fret to get the correct pitch tho - my fretless is lined so you're able to see where to aim; it's tougher on an unlined fretless.

It's funny how stupid people are. Just because they see the fret lines they think it's not a fretless. Are they even listening to the video? It sounds like a fretless.

@CountValdez haha yeah - they just can't tell that the frets are part of the inlay. The neck is totally smooth, so therefore fretless. any bass player with an experienced ear can instantly tell the difference, but a beginner may have trouble.
