John Kay was one of the best frontman of the 60's and his autobiography "Magic Carpet Ride" has some fantastic stories of the many musicians and hollywood celebrities he knew and interacted with from time to time. (Hendrix/Joplin/Morrison) The major difference between Kay and many of his contemporaries ... he survived.

I sure am so proud of John Kay. He didn't get fat and he didn't get lazy. He was a HELL OF OF PERFORMER IN HIS TIME.

As for John grabbin the mic stand. So what? He's been doing it for the past 40+ yrs. Mick Jagger still struts his stuff across the stage, like he did 46 yrs ago.

Who cares about where they came from? They made great music back when I was in HS. John, and the current line up still makes great music now.

John Kay is also German, and we did not need the USA to liberate al those people, it is just that English sounds cooler in Rock, at least in those days, but at least we are multilingual!
