"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," sung by Marcia Griffiths. A beautiful reggae version of one of the best love songs ever written. This video is dedicated to my wife, Wanjiku Caroline DeWitt, with images of my wifey's pretty face.

She is in Kenya and I am in the USA, so we rely on the webcam to see each other until her visa and my stepson's visa are granted. We married in Africa, so you see a few images of our weddng in Kenya. Most of the images are from the webcam or those she emailed to me from Africa, both through a year before the wedding and almost a year after as we wait for the visas to be approved. The first images are those she sent me from when she was younger. I miss her a lot so I find myself looking at her pictures all the time.

The song was made famous by Roberta Flack in 1969, written by Ewan MacColl for folk singer Peggy Seeger in 1957. Peter, Paul and Mary, Celine Dion, Johnny Cash, George Michael and others have their versions. I love all of them, but Marcia Griffiths' reggae version is less often heard and it is beautiful!
