Rock Band 2- Trippolette- Expert Guitar Gold Stars

Welcome to the launch of Rock Band Network!

The song is Trippolette by Andrew Buch.

This song is essentially "legendary" as far as Guitar Hero history goes. For those of you who don't know, this song was found in the files for the original Guitar Hero 1, and through using a GameShark players were able to play it, and it was known as one of the hardest songs in the game because of its crazy triplet solo that was nearly impossible to hit on that engine. But now Buch authored it onto Rock Band Network so that we can all play it on Rock Band 2! Here is a message from him that he put on ScoreHero today.

"Hey guys,

You may remember my song Trippolette from the first Guitar Hero. It was the super-difficult song that you had to use a Gameshark to access.

I just thought that I would post that with the launch of the Rock Band Network today, it has gone live to purchase for Rock Band!

Long ago, in the dawn of our Rhythm Gaming Civilization, there was a Song. A Song that rocked so hard it was banned from the land. Known by many names, those who dared to seek it had to undergo a perilous quest in order to unearth it from its tomb.

It is a great song and its very fun! Like I said before, this is not a custom like people do using Magma, it is a legit Rock Band Network song. Excuse any of my poor plastar-work, it was the first song I had played in a couple days. You can pick this song up for 160 MSP in the Rock Band Network store. Buy it and enjoy you guys! lol. This is what I thought would happen. Custom charters with no clue of pitch would have their songs officially released. Good song poor chart. Just look at the intro, the F# (YB) chord is charted over the A (RY) chord. Makes no sense at all.

I don't understand that analogy at all. The point is is that you're playing a video game representing guitar mechanics, you aren't strumming the strings of a guitar, thus it shouldn't be a port of a tab.

I really appreciate that. By the way, I really enjoyed reading your comments on the bass and drum parts on Scorehero! That was pretty much exactly what I was going for - a classic, challenging guitar part, an extraordinarily fun bass part and a drum part so out-of-left-field that it would be a mind-fuck even for expert drummers.

@cdylan13SH Well the song is released. Isn't much to do about it. Awesome song, very epic 2 minute song. I just think that an experienced charted should have gotten the job. Half of the hi hat notes are missing and so on.

While I do agree about the YB over RY chord thing, he kept this chart very similar to the GH1 version. Just look at his whole selling point, the fact that we all played this in GH1, and Im almost positive he just wanted to keep that same feeling.
