Forty years ago this week, Alan Bean -- the lunar module pilot for Apollo 12 -- became the fourth man to set foot on the moon. After 18 years as an astronaut, Bean retired to dedicate his time to his lifelong passion: painting. An accomplished artist, 43 of his paintings are on display until January 13, 2010 at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington.
Bean took me on a private tour of the exhibit and I fell for his charm and humor. Here is a short video of our time together that I hope youll enjoy.
I love this guy. Cutest Apollo astronaut ever! :)

This guy is fast becoming my favorite astronaught. His humility is so ecompassing that i keep forgetting that he's a brilliant engineer, and incredibly brave.
