So all this was just for 1 series?

Apparently Challenge are going to be showing this series from Saturday!

@JForce2k8 Neat! Does he still have the runners-up trophy (that's one of the many differences about this series: the three runner-ups in the Grand Final were given smaller trophies)? Did you know about his training method of running a children's playground? It seems like a good idea, if the show makes it to a 2011 series.

@tgoacher I think they followed the order of letters and numbers in the sequence by heading down the corresponding paths. The junction with the last number would lead to the exit. Although the players used the same sequence, each player started and exited at different points. Each exit was marked with a letter, and the one on your exit would log you in to the computer. I know I've written this before, but apparently it needs repeating.

I think that the contestants had to interpret the code by finding the letters or numbers in the rings (there were 18 letters and 18 numbers, which retained the same position throughout the series), and following them in the clockwise order of the code. Each player had the same sequence but started and exited at different points. The circle matching the color the player was wearing indicated which path to follow first.

John Reynolds (the guy in yellow) is my uncle
The reason he had such trouble with the computer was that when he tried to do the vowels it wouldnt work because the number locks was turned off

@tgoacher I reckon CGI and computer graphics have kind of killed it.

@tgoacher I think I know how the rings worked. The intersections are marked with letters and numbers and the contestants used the five-part sequence to find their exit. Each exit is marked with a black circle, except the correct one, which has each player's color. The contestants follow the same path, but they enter and exist at different points. This was a fun round overall, but I suppose it wasn't that necessary.

@tgoacher Whatever you have would be brilliant.
Have you got a full episode of this show in this series?

@RhaptonneNetwork
I do not have a full episode, as I only retained the bits I was involved with. I do, however, have more than is presented here and would be happy to upload if you require.

How do the contestants get to no the exits as they haven't been told so it had to be guessed or was it in the auditions?

I assume you are referring to the cryptic rings, The rings contained numbers on circles (you see them lifting covering plates to look at them). These give the correct path through the rings and are related to the numbers that the contestants see before they do the parachute jump. I never really understood how this bit worked and I was there when they filmed it!

One of the biggest problems with the revamped Krypton Factor, was that it tried so hard to be attention grabbing that it just became a mad blur of "Hang on, what's he got to do, again?" and "Wait, who's in the lead?", etc.
You can only bend a format so far before it shatters into a million pieces. Then to put it all back together is quite near impossible.
This was almost the equivalent of Mastermind suddenly introducing a 'Custard Pie Fight Round'.

I agree. Remember that 'Gladiators' was the big rival at the time.
