Spencer Kimball, as prophet said:
"We are a warlike people, easily distracted from our assignment of preparing for the coming of the Lord. When enemies rise up, we commit vast resources to the fabrication of gods of stone and steel -- ships, planes, missiles, fortifications -- and depend on them for protection and deliverance. When threatened, we become antienemy instead of pro-kingdom of God; we train a man in the art of war and call him a patriot, thus, in the manner of Satan's counterfeit of true patriotism, perverting the Savior's teaching: "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; "That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 5:44-45). "

mormons won't tell you when they come to your door that all the other churches are wrong, they won't tell you of polygamy. Ever heard that before? Some say that mormons don't disclose the most difficult aspects of their religion at your front door. Does anybody do that? Offering meat to a baby is death. They will choke. Jesus taught meaty doctrines to those that had ears to hear. He said If thou wilt be perfect, go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and come, take up the cross, and follow me. Who teaches meat like this at a front door? Do Christian churches tell their people this up front? No. Jesus taught meat like "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them" Do Christians practice this doctrine, or do they support retaliation? War isn't love of enemies. Hiroshima wasn't love of enemies, but a pounded iron fist on unsuspecting civilians. Christians are supposed to be a people of peace that follow the Savior, who is the Prince of Peace. But this is meat. Christians are supposed to look forward the millennium when wars will end and peace will be restored to the earth. The Book of Mormon has an account of a people, so deeply converted to Jesus Christ, that they would NOT take up weapons of war against their enemies. They would rather die than to send an enemy to hell. This is the kind of meat that Jesus Christ taught, to suffer persecutions, turn the other cheek, love an enemy. Do Christians preach this meat at a front door? Not really, many preach that all you need to do is confess Jesus Christ and then you go to heaven. Even if you dont do the things that Jesus taught, many say it is not necessary for salvation, but is just a goal. Its not a goal. Not when real people in real places are actually DOING it, it's not a goal. It's attainable. But it is meat. It's works. It's difficult. Faith without works is dead. Going to church is milk. Its easy and harmless. Try selling your house and giving the proceeds to the poor, take up the cross, follow Christ by becoming a missionary until the day you die. It's what Paul did. It's what Joseph Smith did. That's meat, and it's not taught at a front door. Paul said I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

  • Mosiah 3:19 For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

  • @William00048 Jesus failed nothing. What in the world are you talking about???

  • @William00048 You are completely off base on whatever you are thinking there. Reading anti mormon websites that do not tell the truth and nothing but the truth. They actually lie a lot, so... stay away from that, you are indeed quoting nonsense. Inconsistent nonsense that can't be validated in any way.

The Holy Spirit of God continues to witness to me of the truth of the Book of Mormon, the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that Joseph was a prophet of God. Yes.

  • @William00048 You can be born into this church, and yet leave it. Being born in it is no guarantee that you will stay. With Muslim no so much choice there. You try and change over there, and you will bring trouble down on your head. That is true. Don't compare the two.

My FREEDOM allowed me to choose to pray, to read, and pray more, and get a testimony of the truth from God, pertaining to such things as the Book of Mormon. I do know, from God, that it is true. Muslims? no.

  • @William00048 The Book of Mormon teaches why so called bad things happen to people in this life. Its called opposition. Without it, there is no good plan. We must have opposition in the world to allow for good, bad, evil, righteous, in a nutshell: choices.

  • @William00048 We don't relish in it, LOL. What in the world are you talking about??

  • @William00048 what in the world are you talking about???

  • @mormonanswerman and if we wana talk bout who stands for the right thing why dont we talk about the crusades? or in duetoronomy where it says (im paraphrasing) that if someone be it your wife brother friend or whoever tries to persuade u to worship another god then they should be stoned to death. so i ask you who really has higher morales those who only in recent generations do the right thing out of fear or those who do the right thing because they love earth and all its beings

  • @mormonanswerman life itself has basic moral principles that EVERYONE should follow. you can say that atheists dont stand for anything good but if you say that then also have to note that they dont stand for anything bad either. and the biggest differance between aethists and christians is christians do the right thing out of fear and aethists/agnostics do the right thing because its the right thing.
