@jumpsuitjamboree Jeff had a nervous breakdown following Aeroplane. He disappeared and only close friends kept in contact with him He mentions it in his 2001 Aukland show. He is on record saying that the weight of the pain of the people in the world and the pain of the people he loved was too much for him to bear. He played music because he thought it would bring him peace, but he says "there are certain things you can't sing you're way out of." And now he's back and touring again!
