Having 999 HP, 999 MP, a speed of 50, a physical attack of 99, and a magic attack of 99 seems like you'd have to use a Gameshark or the related in order to have. It turns out that it's entirely possible to have such stats without cheating, rather, exploiting a weakness/design flaw in the game. You've seen the basics for stat-raising, now I'll strap a rocket to the process and fire it off. I'll show you the fastest method I'm aware of, for both basic stat raising and the case of when the stat-raiser is a mime. Unseen in the video is the disabling of messages, effects, and the displaying of gained exp and JP. Phase 1 goes from taking an hour to just 40 minutes. Phase 2 goes from taking 2 hours to taking just 1 (and opens up the possibility of getting 50+ levels within 10 minutes).

  • I think if you put berserk on the mime it becames easier and faster

  • Doing it manually is actually about 30% faster, but the berserk method, especially if you have the enemy trapped (to prevent movements which speeds it up), you can automate the process. You can't even approach 50 levels in 10 minutes with the berserk method whereas I can get up to 70 (68 is my current record) doing it manually, a big speed difference. I've done experiments to confirm this.

  • Wouldn't it be advantagous to have the mime stand next to the frog so that when Ramza uses Speed Break on the Frog the Mime does too lowering the speed of the frog faster while giving the Mime some exp.

  • ... and considering the fact I figured it out on my own, without checking GameFAQs (my FAQ is updated too). There are still some uncertainties though, mainly when multiple units have a CT of at least 100 and who goes first. I'll soon figure that out too like I've done everything else. I have 1 hypothesis that seems to check out but only 40% certain - the unit ID numbers. I have a 3 and 5 missing so an enemy likely replaces these. More testing is needed though.... The lowest goes first.

  • I watch it for Uli's commentary. His level of understanding into this game's mechanics is amazing.

  • I watch it because this is probably the only time I will ever see video of somebody achieving max stats in this game. It's incredible!

  • lol, i have no idea why i watched this whole video... I never even saw that game before.

  • Great video!
