Actually, it's only like that during the nomination process. Actors nominate actors, directors nominate directors, editors nominate editors, and so on. But when it's time to vote for the winner, everyone in the Academy votes in every category.

Well, I think my point is, since each individual category is voted on by their own, meaning editors vote for editing, sound producers for sound, actors for acting, and so on, then the fact that it won 9 awards, probably means it was a film of high quality..

Now, that doesn't mean you have to like it, certainly, but to characterize it as "crap" is just plain wrong, I think.. You can count on 1 hand the films that have won at least 9 Academy awards..

Personally, I think it's a masterpiece..
