I was born in Ohio but my family is in Goettingen. This video makes my being crave to be there. That's where my spirits await me.

@ootzd I'm in Göttingen, but my family is in Ottawa, Canada. So the opposite ;) But I have to agree that coming "back" to Germany helped me open up in some ways that I never could in North America.

What are you doing in Ohio, and how long have you been there?

i life in edmonton right now. i was lying in bed already when i started to think about my loved hometown goettingen...thought : maybe go on you tube, there might be a streetview video of goettingen. and here i am. man this video made me cry and even more homesick...but i love it!!!! thanks guys for this little creation of home as a hug video!!! great idea!!! :*

I lived in Goettingen for 4 years, and I'm cracking up over the begining of the video, how no one wants to hug you. Classic Goettingen. It was super depressing, hard to connect with people there. My best friend and I would sarcastically call it the Town of Love and Friendship. Sadly my computer is stalling so I have no idea if anyone in Goettingen ever hugs(Only half way through the video).
