but ya nuff talk our ancestors all did a great job by keeping the totalitarian countries at bay
but i think its our turn to pick up the sticks and fight the oppression in america today
you might not see the oppression on the news but it is there and it is strong

Don't denigrate the American achievements too much. Yes, the Soviets did most of the fighting (and dying) in Europe. But the Americans really toughed it out against the Japanese who were absolutely vicious. It is no exaggeration to say that the Americans saved countless Chinese lives and ensured more than 60 years of peace in Asia.
