There seems to be a tendency among young designers to go extremely wild, which is of course good for creativity. In the old days, these "wild" designs were brought back eleganct and graceful designs by the more experienced designers. It seems at the moment that the more experienced designers do not dare to interfere, which is why we end up with a lot of questionable designs of late.

The Alfa Spider, based on Giorgetto Giugiaros Alfa Brera Concept, proves that there is still something to be said for keeping experience into car design. This car displays both youthful freshness as well as traditional grace, balance and beauty. It does not have to be extreme to attract attention, beauty does the job as well.

  • this is why i question, when it comes to transportation design, would a company take a highly skilled designer over a highly creative designer?

  • Creativity has to come naturally and can not be trained. If people are not creative they are simply not creative. Skills can always be learned. Of course there are very well skilled designers, but skill is skill.

I would higher creative designers and have my skilled designers finish the project properly.

  • The Koreans, Chinese and Jap car owners get very upset and defensive when they see Italian cars

making their Asian motors look bland and boring (which they clearly are) all the style and carisma of a wet sunday. Italian cars are styled by Genius and passion and this with blue chip brands like Ferrari,Alfa,Maserati,Lancia and Fiat you see why, look

    and weep.

  • @sukaebanaja ; From the land of the motorist and Proton, Hyundai and dog food, with car design like

the Koreans how can you possibly even comment on the holy grail that is Italian car design, get back to you're shitsu sandwich.

Forza italia, ALFA ROMEO, PETROLHEAD HEAVEN

  • Are there any tools for making the perfect wheelbase?

Cause I've seen some tools while watching some designers and mostly when my wheelbase is a crap start my car is ruined. Would be a great help if there was.
