@KRSsven It's an explicitly feminist song. It was known that Kurt believed in equal rights for women, hence the songs "Rape Me" and "Been a Son". Kurt once spoke out against crimes and violence commited against women for a show. Also, his mom was beat pretty bad by his stepdad and even broke her arm. Pretty messed up shiz.

Personally I thought this song was about someone trapped in a relationship, 'kept' by their partner like they would a pet - hence the imagery of being kept in a jar with breathing holes, covered in grass, like a kid would keep an interesting creature he found in the garden. And a lot of pets are kept in rooms that the people don't really live in, like a garage, a shed, or a laundry room. But this song also includes what is probably my favourite Kurt solo.

Always wondered if Sappy would've made it onto Nirvana's never-to-be studio album after In Utero. From what we're told, You Know You're Right was to be on it, made me wonder what his next songs would've been.

i was born the year he died, yet since the age of 10 nirvana's had such an influence on me,fist time i heard em they blew my mind, im also a big Dave grohl fan, hes just such an epic muscician, most artists would have just faded away after their main band ended, but he rose out of nirvanas shadow.
