Every two seconds someone needs blood. The supply of blood is never equal to demand
Our Campaign Promotes Safe Blood Transfusion

Millions of patients requiring transfusion do not have timely access to safe blood. The very first step to make sure the collected blood is safe for subsequent usage is to ensure the transfused blood is free from 5 deadly diseases i.e. HIV, Hepatitis B & C, Malaria and Syphilis. After a rigorous screening and testing, this blood can be called as safe blood. Bangladesh is among the worst effected countries where the patients get infected with these diseases after the transfusion from the unscreened or professional blood donors. So to promote safer transfusion, there is a desperate need to create awareness in Bangladesh. Quantum blood bank is one of the dedicated organisations to promote safer blood transfusion. In the UK the NHS administers a complete screening process to ensure both donors and receivers are safe.
Three most common reasons cited by people who don't give blood are:"I am very busy ", "Never thought about it" and "I don't like needles" ...but should these reasons stop anybody to save mother's or childrens lives ?
