@yetilikesbeer Thanks for your reply. Yea I am pretty good with changing all fluids and always use a good synthetic or high quality standard oil and neither front or rear are worn out or beat up so I guess it should be ok. Thanks again man.
@SilveradoKing53 If your 1/2 ton IFS is in good shape you should be alright. In my experience the rear diff fails first with 35's and power to use them. You can usually find decent 1/2 ton parts trucks less a tranny with a decent front end and newer shafts. No experience with 3/4 or 1 tons GM's off road.
If your lockin the rear diff I would worry about the crown and pinion in the rear, transfer case, then the front end.
No issues with your IFS with your power and those tires? Breaking an axle is one thing but blowing up a case is another. Im really good with as soon as I catch traction im out of the gas. But I currently have a 305 with 33" TSL's. Will soon have a built 350 and 35" LTB's. Let me know how its been to you. Reassuring words will make me much more confident in my new setup. Thanks.
I've actually saw 2 of them today... One was green, one was red. On this Tahoe someone just put a z71 sticker on there. Google OBS Z71 Tahoe and do some research. They had different bumpers, wheels, colormatched everything...Not sure what was different mechanically. But this body style of Tahoe's had a Z71 option.
@Mississippi1313 i dont believe that for nothin, and anyways wheres your proof? why dont you run the VIN number at a chevy or GM dealrship and you can see its not a Z71
