Extract from the Sid Vicious interview to Nick Kent for the NME, December 17th 1977):
"Those Swedish gigs... that secret tour of England... all those gigs were terrible, awful, and it was all down to him (John) 'poncing' about.
"One time, I took him aside and said, 'Listen matey, just take a look at yourself in the mirror! You look awful! And worse than that, you've become a hypocrite. You're acting like all those pop stars you started off putting down, mate.Just take a good look!'...

And you're wrong, there are bands who play what they like and sing about whatever they like, regardless of how popular it's gonna be or if it's gonna make them money or not. Not everybody is a prostitute, or as superficial as you'd want them to be. See you.

..and that "He never had any kind of patriotic pride, because it only led to wars and hates". He's changed alright. He's now truly "Rotten" to the core, indeed.
-
Not to mention the butter ad and the Mountain Dew add. Pure prostitution and for smalll sums too. He went on "I'm a celebrity get me out of here" and plays the buffoon in front of the camera. He beats on women who are part of his entourage and surrounds himself with racists. He "loves his Queen" now and is a nationalist, when he used to claim "nationalism was shite for the middle class" ..
they are still good

And Lydon lies all the time and contradicts himself all the time, in interviews, on stage, in real life. Sorry if you can't stand the truth about your little idol, facts are facts and unlike him, I am NOT a liar.
And how do I know there are bands that didn't sell out? Because they are and were out there for the world to see. They didn't support the system they claimed to hate, they fought it and still are fighting it.
