  • you should get the PPE hot x2 chip ......my brothers 05 LLY has it an its nuts......on stage 10 it put his truck 425 over stock which is about 950hp....since he has injectors an tranny, lift pump... 4 inch straight no muffler 5 inch tip

  • @CumminsDriver635 ......why would i be kiddin ?? PPE is the next biggest tuner other then EFI Live, an for numbers for is truck i'm just estimatin that it put his truck around 950hp....he's lookin into a bigger turbo

  • @dodgedude101 A duramax generally wont make over 550hp or so on the stock turbo even with an awesome tune. It takes a LOT more than a programmer to make 950hp on a duramax, or anything for that matter. If your buddy just has a PPE and a couple other small things like intake, and exhaust, then id say 450-500hp is around what he has.

  • @CumminsDriver635 ....ya at the wheels not on motor....stock LLY duramax is 320hp an you throw 425 at it, it'll be higher then 450hp with that big tune, especially with 100hp injectors, big lift pumps an 4 inch straight

  • @dodgedude101 You dont seem to understand. A box/programmer or whatever will very rarely make an EXTRA 450hp. The driveline is not eating up 400hp. The truck is probably less than 550hp at the engine. Im not sure why you would worry about what the engine was making, when what matter is what you are putting to the ground. If you/him are hoping for anything near 900hp, you will be heartbroken if it ever gets put on the dyno.

  • @dodgedude101 Yeah, I guess he should get the ppe hotx2 chip...u want to give right at $1000 bucks to pay for it...I despise all u guys gettin on here and leavin comments like this...just be happy for the guy and give him a positive comment on the choice he made or dont leave a comment at all!!

  • @ColeTbanshee ....the drivetrain doesn't eat up an extra hp.....his truck has 100hp injectors, FASS lift pump, bigger DV's, big pipe an a stage 5 allison tranny......stock LLY is 310hp we're thinkin without the tuner his truck is 450hp on motor.....with the PPE tuner on stage 10 puts his LLY 425hp over stock ???? get wat i'm sayin ?? it may not give the 425 hp but it gives alot of power to his truck...cause you need the air to fuel mixture to be good to make all of that extra 425hp

  • @dodgedude101 Dude again im agreeing with CumminsDrive635 there is no way the drive train is eating up all the extra horsepower which is why the figures you are throwing out for horsepower make no sense..

  • @ColeTbanshee ...well his tranny aint stock...the stage 5 allison will hold 1000wrhp...an he has 100hp injectors which allow more fuel through, fass lift pumps, big exhaust, an a tranny to hold the hp....a stock turbo will hold the big tune only to a surton exstent.....i'd say with the the 425 tune he's around 500wrhp with stock turbo...but we're installin the new bigger turbo this weekend

  • @dodgedude101 Allison nomrally comes stock, and still thats not the point. there is not way you are making an extra 450 over stock with a few simple mods such as a tunner and lift pump etc. It just doesnt happen.
