i have this camera, the auto mode takes decent pictures (i've noticed this is a couple new PaS sony camera) but if oyu know how to the the P, S, or M mode, pictures come out great.

i just bought this, the zoom clarity is amazing on this camera without any blur, however, to get full advantage, you would need a tripod

@rovistarr I also have this cam... I think if you buy this kind of camera you should know how to use P,S and M, if not it's just a waste of money!! The multimode was one of the reasons I got this one, and I didn't have the moner for DSLR camera...

I never had a camera but since I have seen on youtube footage from various cameras, Sony DSC-HX1 will be my first choice camera the best quality
